A study for the conversion of a locally listed building within the Cator Estate in Blackheath
Formally a residential care home, the client wanted to explore options to covert the existing building into apartments and develop the extensive grounds with new homes.
Set within the Blackheath Conversation Area the project required sensitive understanding of the existing building and context. The concept of a new cluster of homes to the rear was developed, using typologies that would optimise capacity whilst having minimal impact on the surrounding properties and character of the area.
