Masterplan and design code for the gateway to Barking Riverside. The mixed use scheme includes community amenities and up to 1000 homes.
Project details
The Sub Framework Plan produced by Stitch included a masterplan, parameter plans and design code and was approved by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham in October 2024.
Station Quarter will be a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood including framing Station Square and leading pedestrians into the wider area through a network of generous green spaces. Residents, local organisations and business owners, as well as the wider community, were invited to shape the emerging plans.
Situated in the heart of Barking Riverside, Station Quarter will be located within the District Centre, which contains the station, the river bus services, new public spaces, and will in time include the majority of the retail and commercial spaces across the neighbourhood.
